Each painting is a compilation of many pieces of different cotton fabrics cut to fit the design of the landscape.  The pieces are sewn together by machine.  All of the seams are enclosed.  There are no raw edges.  After the picture is complete rayon threadwork is added to enhance the texture and bring more light into the painting.  The final step is the addition of quilting.  Each piece is one of a kind, signed and dated.  The amount of time each piece requires varies, but 300 hours is a good average.

Traditional block based piecing...a test of precision and patience.  There are not many traditional pieces in my body of work.  I use block based work to sharpen my skills.

Each image is been painted with silk dyes on silk or mx procion dyes on cotton.  The image is then threadpainted with rayon threads.  The last step is quilting with silk thread or many different trilobal polyester threads. My latest pieces are heavily quilted and can be viewed from both sides.

There is a minimum of 200 hours in each piece.

This collection features 16" x 20" framed whole cloth work.  Each piece is a base of silk which has been painted with silk dyes.  The design is enhanced with rayon threadpainting and finished with silk thread quilting. These pieces are quite affordable.  All under $1000.00, most under $500.00.  Each one is signed, some are dated.
